The Bridge the Gap! project invites you to an academic group meeting to share and discuss cutting-edge research on how to attract and retain technical talent in school and work contexts among interdisciplinary social scientists.
In the past 4 years, researchers from the Bridge the Gap! team from the University of Twente, Utrecht University, and Saxion University of Applied Sciences have done research projects in collaboration with educational institutions and companies in high-tech to learn more about technical talents’ identity development, (gender) diversity and inclusion in tech, and the role of stereotypes in career choices and drop-out in tech.
In the academic meeting the Bridge the Gap team will share their research findings and invites others to share their work. Topics discussed will include social identity, gender inequality in STEM, professional development of engineers and turnover in STEM. Contribute to vivid discussions about these topics.
Date: Thursday 30th June 2022
